God's Promises

There are so many voices right now competing for our attention: Facebook, television, news feed, talk show hosts, friends, work colleagues, and on and on.  Yet, God's Word is the TRUTH.  His Promises are unbreakable.  If we are not careful, we can allow all the competing voices to crowd out the TRUTH of God found in his Word.  Take a moment to post a Bible passage that God is using or has used in your life.  You can just post the passage and let it speak for itself, or you can also tell us how that passage is speaking TRUTH to the many voices competing for your attention.

But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.”... If the Lord delights in us, he will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land that flows with milk and honey. (Numbers 13:30, 14:8)

...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Lord, you will give perfect peace to those who commit themselves to be faithful to you. That’s because they trust in you.

John 16:33 The Voice
I have told you these things so that you will be whole and at peace. In this world, you will be plagued with times of trouble, but you need not fear; I have triumphed over this corrupt world order.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh. For the law of the Spirit of life has set me free from the law of sin and of death.

Righteousness and Justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.
Psalm 89:14,15

Because God's children are human beings--made of flesh and blood--Jesus also became flesh and blood by being born in human form. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the Devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he deliver those who have lived all their lives as slaves to the fear of dying...Therefore, it was necessary for Jesus to be in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. He then could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. Since he himself has gone through suffering and temptation, he is able to help us when we are being tempted. (Hebrews 2:14-15,17-18)

Amos 5:24 The Voice
Here’s what I want: Let justice thunder down like a waterfall;
let righteousness flow like a mighty river that never runs dry.

Just reading again Amos and Hosea. These 2 were great "minor" prophets to a disobedient adulterous people. They told it as God saw it. Thank God he is so merciful to those who reject Him like me. Flow river flow.

Hosea 2: 18, 23 The Voice
18 When that day comes, this is what I’ll do for My people: I’ll make a covenant for them with the wild animals and flying birds and crawling insects, and they’ll agree never to devour her crops again. I’ll smash all the bows and swords and weapons that could be used to invade their land, and they’ll live in security.

23 I won’t just restore the agricultural abundance;
I’ll sow into My beloved land and plant the people in the land and make them My own.
To the one who has not been shown mercy,
I’ll rename her Mercy.
I’ll tell Not My People, “You are now My People!”
and he’ll respond, “You’re my God!”

“For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103:11-13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Romans 8:1-2

1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
