God's Promises

There are so many voices right now competing for our attention: Facebook, television, news feed, talk show hosts, friends, work colleagues, and on and on.  Yet, God's Word is the TRUTH.  His Promises are unbreakable.  If we are not careful, we can allow all the competing voices to crowd out the TRUTH of God found in his Word.  Take a moment to post a Bible passage that God is using or has used in your life.  You can just post the passage and let it speak for itself, or you can also tell us how that passage is speaking TRUTH to the many voices competing for your attention.

So there is still a Sabbath rest for God’s people. 10 God rested from his work. Those who enjoy God’s rest also rest from their works. 11 So let us make every effort to enjoy that rest. Then no one will die by disobeying as they did.

12 The word of God is alive and active. It is sharper than any sword that has two edges. It cuts deep enough to separate soul from spirit. It can separate bones from joints. It judges the thoughts and purposes of the heart. 13 Nothing God created is hidden from him. His eyes see everything. He will hold us responsible for everything we do. (Hebrews 4:9-13 NLT)

Romans 8:1-2

1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

I am not a bold man even though I want to be
I am just a dreamer with a timid history
Scared of confrontations I fume all through the night
The world has it's hold on me and I just want to fly
The sky, the sky is open wide
But I can't fly 'til I step aside

Rest easy
Have no fear
I love you perfectly
And perfect love drives out fear
I'll take your burden
You take My grace
Rest easy
In My embrace
Rest easy, rest easy
Rest easy, in My embrace
Rest easy

Don’t run from tests and hardships, brothers and sisters. As difficult as they are, you will ultimately find joy in them; if you embrace them, your faith will blossom under pressure and teach you true patience as you endure. And true patience brought on by endurance will equip you to complete the long journey and cross the finish line—mature, complete, and wanting nothing.
James 1:2-4 The Voice

Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD. You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound. I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 4:6-8

“But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.””
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14:13-14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:18-20‬ ‭NLT‬‬
